What's New
“Fracking” water, the term used to describe the wastewater from hydraulic fracturing for natural gas, has never been a part of the water treated at our Forest Park Water treatment facility in Chalfont, PA. We at the NWWA are vigilant in the protection of our source waters and are supportive of stringent regulations and oversight governing the shale drilling process and disposal of drilling wastewater. This year's annual system flushing will take place from April 2 - June 1. Click here for the full schedule. The new issue of Water Rings is out! This issue includes a discussion of the benefits of enrolling in our Lateral Maintenance Program, whether or not a loss of power would affect our distribution system, an explanation of watersheds and their importance, and more.
