NWWA Reservoir

NWWA reservoirWater Distribution: North Wales Water Authority Reservoir.

A reservoir is a man-made facility that stores water. At the North Wales Water Authority, our water is pumped from our source to our reservoir. We determine how much water is pumped into the reservoir, which is monitored by our computer system. The water leaves the reservoir and enters several natural waterways, heading to another man-made storage facility that is both for recreational purposes and for water storage. Forest Park Water uses gates at the dam of the lake to control the amount of water released. As the water is released, it enters a natural waterway and flows downstream into our intake facilities that transfer the raw, untreated water into the treatment facility.
